HYDEN, KENTUCKY - Janice Couch has been appointed as Director of Operations for The Fairy God Foundation by its Board of Directors, announced Chairman of the Board Stephen M. Wayne.
“We are both pleased and fortunate to have Janice join the Foundation. Janice brings a stunning combination of compassion and experience that will greatly benefit this organization ,” stated Wayne.
As Director of Operations, Couch is responsible for communicating with girls in need, as well as distributing dresses and donated gift certificates.
Couch, who started volunteering with the Foundation this past March, currently works as the Youth Service Center Coordinator at Clay County High School, and was a logical choice due to her connections in the school. She is also a member of the Manchester Woman’s Club and Kappa Gamma Delta.
“I am honored to be a part of the Foundation and I am looking forward to helping girls to have a wonderful prom experience,” said Couch.
Couch, who is originally from Hyden, is the sister of Lonnie Hendrix, who sits on the Board of Directors for the Foundation.
The Fairy God Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Hyden, with a mission to assist disadvantaged students attend prom, serving students in Leslie, Perry and Clay counties. To learn more, visit www.fairygodfoundation.org.
