The Fairy God Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting disadvantaged students prepare for their high school proms, primarily by providing free prom dresses. The Foundation is headquartered in London and serves several counties across Southeastern Kentucky's mountainous coal region.

The Fairy God Foundation was founded in Hyden, Kentucky in January 2005 by Stephen Wayne and Kevan Ventura and was able to help a handful of students in Leslie and Perry counties.

The following year, the Foundation expanded to serve students in Clay County and helped over 25 students.

The spring of 2007 saw students in Laurel and Whitley counties helped by the Foundation through its partnership with the London-based non-profit For the Love of a Child.  Over 80 students were served by the Foundation in 2007.

In 2008 the Foundation will help students in Floyd County for the first time.

It is the mission of The Fairy God Foundation to enable disadvantaged high school students in Southeastern Kentucky to enjoy a memorable prom experience. The Foundation seeks to accomplish this mission with a multi-faceted program of assistance that includes free prom dresses and free or discounted tuxedos, salon services, flowers, dinners, and other accompaniments of prom.
